The year was 1969 and I had been out of the Army and back from Vietnam for three years. It turned out to be quite an adventure.

I was contacted by several people all over the United States wanting to know if it was for sale. That's a picture of me sitting on the farebox 51 years ago. The hair is all gone now and I'm a few pounds heavier but reluctantly have decided to turn loose of my fare box treasure. The coin counting mechanism works perfectly. There is a 12V motor in the bottom but I have never hooked it up. I expect that it works but no guarantees. About what I've gained over the last 50 years...
