NEW IN Box, NIB, Rare Antique Solid brass steam engine. Boiler or industrial thermometer temperature gauge gage.

Box is wood wooden and has a sliding top for opening and is really ornate with its dovetail joints and is complete with original packing paper and straw. Thermometer is marked Tagliabue Mfg. Gauge is solid brass and comes with a blank off screw cover which is attached to the thermometer with a solid brass chain. Thermometer is graduated in Degrees F and ranges from 200 to 400 Deg F. From its beautiful condition and original box it probably has never been in operation. Measuring 16 inches in length, this vintage instrument's patina makes it an absolute wonderful display piece. The beautiful brass housing and instrument graduations shows elegant as it surrounds the indicator's black interior. The original cast cap, used when disconnected from active fluid line is still attached. You can see easily within the photos. Tagliabue company was located in Brooklyn, NY and manufactured thermometers from the early 1900's.

The thermometer is also stamped on the top with the numbers 13 and 52. The set screw at the top is for removing the front cover plate believed for glass replacement should it ever been damaged or broken.

Overall this thermometer is in "new" condition and is the ultimate collection piece.
