They both have bright LED interior lighting (no more worrying about incandescent bulbs tripping your circuit breakers), operating diecast couplers (thumbtack style, not the hidden-tab style that a lot of realism-focused modelers prefer), diecast trucks (they roll pretty well, if you ask me), crisp graphics and details (you might even be able to read the smaller ones with a magnifying glass, I have not tried this yet), and a separately-applied handrail at each door safety first! The vestibules are plastic and cast into the shell (why Lionel did not use rubber vestibules, I have no idea), the windows actually have the proper "double" frames as per the prototype (unlike MTH Amfleets which are literally just a rounded rectangle punched in), and the shade of blue is proper (the 2010 production run had a shade of blue that was too deep, like early Phase IV deep). I will mention that there are no functional marker lights on these.
You would think that for the prices that Lionel had these at, they would have included them. Perhaps they wanted to boost sales on the cab cars and Cabbages? This listing only contains the two Amfleet coaches with their original packaging. It does not include the tracks, the Atlas Horizon coaches in the background, my finished wooden floor, or my house. I always inform my buyers if there is a problem.
