Lionel 3619 Vintage O Operating Helicopter Reconnaissance Car/Box

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. This item has been serviced by our repair shop. Please see picture for service details. There are nicks, scuffs, and scratches along the plastic shell and metal underframe.

The wheel-sets display heavy surface rust. The window on the helicopter has yellowed and cracked, and there are scuffs and scratches along the plastic body. The instruction manual is included. The included helicopter appears to be original.

The original box is included and in good condition. The box has abrasions, edge wear, creases, punctures, and tears.

Lionel 3619 Vintage O Operating Helicopter Reconnaissance Car/Box. This is a Lionel 3619 Operating Helicopter Reconnaissance Car which is a very stealthy helicopter launching car from 1962-64. This car features a launching mechanism inside the car.

Here is how this car works - you wind up the launch mechanism, then place the helicopter on it, push the launcher mechanism down in the car and close the roof halves. Then you can remotely launch the helicopter when placed over a remote control track. The roof opens, and the mechanism slowly rises from inside the car, and then when the correct height is reached, the helicopter launches. This car features plastic trucks, operating knuckle couplers, and metal wheels and axles. Please see my pictures for additional features.
