This car was well kept by the previous owner, and it would be a great addition to any postwar collection! A box liner is not included. The original box is included and in good condition. There is a missing inner flap, and there are abrasions, creases, tears, and edge wear along the corners and sides. Check the photos for a detailed look at this item.

Overall condition is Like New. Lionel 6464-175 Vintage O Silver Rock Island Boxcar - Type I LN/Box. The 6464-175 Rock Island box car was introduced in Lionel's second year of 6464 box car production. Its graphics and color are plain and unexciting. Actually, the 6464-175 Rock Island carries the exact same lettering and graphics as the previous years Rock Island offering (6464-75), but with different colors.

Due to the plain look of the 6464-175, this car has not created much interest in the collector market. Examples with extremely clean silver painted shells will be in demand as the silver has tended to fade or deteriorate with age. This boxcar features sliding doors, die-cast metal trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles. This version features a Type I body with blue heat stamped lettering. Complete, all original, no rust, may show some sign of being run and/or age.
