Time for Sherman and Mr. Peabody to get out the wayback machine, because here is one from 1957 for you to consider! Lionel Postwar (not the modern remake) Outfit 2276W BUDD RDC set from 1957 in its original set or outfit box, a two tier based weave from 1957! Each train is in its respective component box! First, there is the set or outfit box, 2276W.

Its all original postwar, two tier basket weave. There are a few minor tape repairs, but otherwise, it is all there and is super rare and hard to find.

All components have the original boxes, the 404 has its insert and 1957 Lionel wrapping paper and the two 2559 are in original postwar boxes. Tested and Runs F-N-R, all lights work, horn relay tested and works, horn not tested as its too finicky. This 2276W outfit or set, has all of its original boxes and in the set box- just don't come on the market!! The 404 Engine has some wear to the silver, but no dents or cracks. One 2559 is gorgeous and shiny, the other 2559 has some minor wear to the silver but no dings or cracks.

Each of the 2559 boxes have a tear around where the horn on top is. No tape repairs to any of the component train boxes anywhere. Train Boxes are all bricks, except for the aforementioned tears, No damage from a left in battery, the 404 battery compartment is clean and clear. The person I bought this from over 30 years ago told me they acquired it after Christmas around 1958.

I don't have the instruction sheet for the 404. Just please don't ask me on the last day in the last hour. This item will be well wrapped and cushioned to avoid any damage. Pictures are an integral part of the item description.

I will furnish any required documentation needed to initiate the claim. Save all packing for postal inspection along with the item. Please remember this is a toy and over 60 years old.

It may have some signs of minor wear not otherwise described herein. Any track or other items in the photos and not included in this description are NOT included.
