Mazda JDM Roadster 1999 10th Anniversary Gift Box Set 10AE Miata MX-5 Mint

Yes, this is an "okay, dear, it's for sale" price. I really don't care to sell this set... Unless someone else wants it enough. For those unaware, Mazda produced three versions of this gift set to commemorate its 10th anniversary MX5.

In keeping with the car's name in each respective market, sets in North America were emblazoned with "Miata"; European and Australian sets with "MX-5"; and Japanese with Roadster. Only 500 of the 7,500 10AEs were sent to Japan, so this is by far the rarest version of the three sets.

The difference is shown on the watch face and back, the keychain, and the gift box cover (the model car incorporated no branding other than "Mazda" in any of the markets). And yes, in Japan as well as many European markets, the compete set contained only a men's watch, not ladies - different cultures, different marketing priorities. As-new condition - zero signs that any of the items have ever been worn or used, watch has all links intact. Over the last decade, I've seen three of these Roadster sets come up for sale. This was the first of the three, while the other two are now owned by a collector more hopelessly addicted than me.

It may be a decade before another comes up for sale - don't miss out.
