NOS Dalian Locomotive Works Special Metal Collector Plate in Original Box 1999

Back in the mid-2000's, I traveled to China to assist in the sale of locomotives to China on behalf of EMD Electro-Motive. This was prior to the sale of the company to the equity group who renamed the company Electro Motive Diesels.

Our partner of choice was Dalian Locomotive Works located in Dalian, China. I developed a very close relationship with the people in that facility and they presented this collector plate to me as a parting gift.

The plate commemorates Dalian's celebration of 100 years of building locomotives. The plate is sealed in plastic so as not to tarnish. It is either chrome plated or possibly silver. I can assure you that it was a very unique experience living in China and I was honored to receive this gift.

As you can see, i. T is still in the original box and has never been displayed and also includes a fold out display stand.
