Railroad Conductors Porters Platform Step Box Stool Pullman

This is a fine railroad collectible that was used in any number of different railroad passenger cars. The letters are debossed PULLMAN on one side. Retains its original rag box underneath. Has what appears to be some of the original paint left. Each corner has a solidly attached triangular piece of metal underneath that rubber feet could be attached to, but that does not appear to be a necessity.

Wooden top covered in a leather-like piece of material. I have also seen these with a piece of heavy carpeting attached to the top. Metal is firm and solid. Has surface rust underneath, but no holes or rusted-out metal. Wooden top held on by six nuts and bolts. This is a very sturdy and solid step.
